Three things. Nothing else.
- Builds
- A Build is a product you sell, made from Parts you buy: inserts, screws, magnets, suction cups, shields. You list the Parts and how many go into each Build. StockMill counts the Parts and works out how many Builds you can sell today. Builds are one level deep, on purpose. The 3D-printed body you make yourself is not a Part, because you do not count it.
- Sync
- Every paid order on Shopify, Etsy, or eBay takes its Parts off the bench. Every listing that shares the SKU, on every channel, gets the new number within seconds. Cancellations and refunds put Parts back. StockMill is the source of truth; the channels are told what to show. Nothing else on the listing is touched.
- Purchase orders
- Parts you have ordered but not received are on the way. Low-stock alerts look at on the bench plus on the way, so a part you reordered yesterday stops nagging you today. Receive a PO in parts as boxes arrive. One email when a Part gets low, one digest a day, and nothing in between.
Built for
3D printers, woodworkers, jewelers, candle and soap makers, small electronics builders. Anyone whose product is a recipe of purchased parts plus their own labor, selling on more than one channel, somewhere between 50 and 500 orders a month.
Not built for
Warehouses. Resellers of finished goods. Dropshippers. Brands with a 3PL. Anyone who needs manufacturing orders, work in progress, or nested assemblies. If that is you, you will outgrow StockMill in a week, and there are good tools for you already.
How we use your shop data
What we read
- Listings, variants, and their SKUs, so we can link them to your Parts and Builds.
- Paid and canceled orders: the SKU, the quantity, the order id, and the time. That is enough to take Parts off the bench and put them back.
- Your locations, so stock can live in more than one place.
What we do not
- We never read or store buyer names, emails, or addresses. Not even in logs.
- We write one thing to your listings: the quantity. Never titles, prices, or photos.
- We never read a channel's quantity to change our own count, except the one time you ask us to seed from it.
Shop tokens are encrypted at rest and deleted within 48 hours of disconnecting a channel. Full details in the privacy policy.

Going over your tier never stops sync. Stopping sync causes oversells, which is the one thing this product exists to prevent. You get a warning at 90% and a nudge to upgrade at 100%.
